A MAN has been airlifted to hospital from a North Yorkshire building site, suffering from spinal injuries.
The Yorkshire Ambulance Service said it was called to the building site in West Lilling, near Sheriff Hutton, north of York, at 7.58am today after an accident.
A spokeswoman said a man in his 40s had suffered a spinal injury, and he was flown to Leeds General Infirmary by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. His current condition was not known, she said.
