THIS little baby giraffe has made her public debut after being born just days ago.
There are high hopes for the calf - yet to be named in a public competition - who was born at Flamingo Land Resort at Kirby Misperton, near Pickering, on March 22.
She is a rare Rothschild Giraffe - one of just 700 in the world - and was born to happy giraffe parents George, eight, and Lizzy, five. She has a sister, Pixie, born earlier last month, and two half-brothers by George - Rufus, four, and Brad, two. George, born at Woburn Safari Park, is a lucky man having, two mating partners.
The species are listed as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature with their population still on the wane.
The little bundle of joy brings the zoo’s herd to seven.
