THIS wintery scene of frozen fields and crisp air is expected to return to North Yorkshire as temperatures drop below freezing this weekend.
Recent days have seen wind and rain replace the biting frost and snow seen here in Goathland as a light locomotive journeys along the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
However, the Met Office expects the thermometer to drop back down below freezing today.
Temperatures are expected to hit as low as minus one in the evening as rain falls throughout the morning and afternoon.
The sun will come out on Sunday, but hats, scarves and gloves should not be put back in the wardrobe just yet as temperatures vary between zero and three degrees.
