THE ARCHBISHOP of York is in Ryedale today as part of his Archdeaconry visit of Cleveland.
Dr John Sentamu and the Bishop Suffragan of Whitby, Paul Ferguson, will be at St Peter’s and St Paul’s Church in Pickering for a public service of Morning Prayer and will later visit Micro Metalsmiths in Kirkbymoorside as part of his visit to the Cleveland Circuit.
The Archbishop of York said: “I am very much looking forward to meeting everyone.
Archdeaconry visits allow me to take a closer look at what’s going on in one area of the York Diocese.
Dr Sentamu will also visit Whitby and Redcar, and take part in a question and answer session about his life and faith and his journey from Uganda to Yorkshire.
