POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with theft of cash from a shop in North Yorkshire.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said the man walked into the Cost Cutter store in Bridge Street, Helmsley, on Saturday, November 2, and asked a member of staff to change several £20 notes into £10 notes.
He said the man changed his mind several times and tried to confuse the cashier, which resulted in the suspect walking away with more cash than he handed over.
The man is seen in the images wearing a red checked jacket over a striped top. He has dark hair and a dark complexion.
Anyone who recognises him should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, email kay.campbell@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk or phone Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
