A website for small local charities has held a free workshop in Ryedale to outline the benefits of receiving donations online.
Localgiving.com, a social enterprise, aims to allow smaller charities to gain access to an online marketing and donation process.
It is focusing its work on North Yorkshire this summer, including a £12,500 match fund donated by the Peter Sowerby Foundation to help local rural good causes.
The workshop was staged at Ryedale Voluntary Action in Malton, whose funding advisor, Sarah Lalleu-Marley, said: “Many voluntary sector organisations I work with are increasingly looking for new ways of raising vital funds and Localgiving.com is a fantastic tool.”
