NORTH Yorkshire MP Anne McIntosh will quiz Environment Secretary Owen Paterson on flood funding.
Miss McIntosh, MP for Thirsk, Malton and Filey and Chairman of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee, said: “With the recent floods locally and with fluctuating and increasingly adverse weather conditions, it is vitally important that we keep our flood defences secure.
"This means both capital expenditure on new defences but also that regular maintenance work is carried out. The Government’s Water White Paper focused heavily on resilience measures both to cope with water stress and potential shortages as well as possible deluges and floods.”
