THE Rt Rev Cuthbert Madden has been elected for a second eight-year term of office as Abbot of Ampleforth.
The election of the Abbot of the largest Benedictine community in the UK took place at Ampleforth on Tuesday, under the guidance of the President of the English Benedictine Congregation, the Right Rev Dom Richard Yeo.
Abbot Madden is the eighth Abbot of Ampleforth.
