Power is expected to be restored to about 60 homes in the Eastfield Lane/ Wheatfield Avenue area of Wigginton affected by a power cut by about 1.30pm.
The power cut, caused by problems with the electricity cable supplying the area, was reported at 5.51am.
Northern Powergrid says a team is working to restore power to the homes as quickly as possible.
