Superfans can now get paid for watching every single episode of British TV classic Grand Designs this Winter.

The Channel 4 show sees presenter Kevin McCloud visit some of the UK's most ambitious self-building projects.

The show has been popular ever since its launch in 1999 with 22 series to date.

Toolstation is now searching for fans with analytical minds to answer two important questions: Which projects went over budget the most and which came in under budget the most?

The tool supplier wants to find the UK's most qualified Grand Designs expert and pay £1,500 for the pleasure.

So if you have a passion for interior design and crunching numbers, this could be your time to shine.

How to apply for the Grand Designs competition

Grand Designs superfans can enter via the Toolstation website application.

You will be asked for your name, email, address and responses to the two key questions.

The questions are 'Which projects went over budget the most?' and 'which came in under budget the most?'.

You can watch some of Channel 4's favourite builds here.

The competition will end on December 18, 2021.

Toolstation will reveal the winner on December 20, 2021.

From the famous 100ft water tower to the £3million treehouse, the show has aired several quirky projects.

A typical Grand Designs project goes 34 per cent over budget. But it’s not always a matter of dramatic over-spending.

Seven per cent of the projects are completed on budget, whilst a further 8 per cent defy the odds by coming in under budget.
