Diana Ross has been confirmed as an act for Glastonbury 2022.

The soul star, 77, whose hits include I’m Coming Out, Love Hangover and Upside Down was announced on Tuesday night.

Festival organiser Emily Eavis tweeted: “I’m thrilled to be able to let you know that the magnificent @DianaRoss is coming to play at @glastonbury next summer.

“We were so excited to book such a legend for Glastonbury 2020 and are so happy that she’s the first to re-confirm for next year.”

She joins previously announced headliner Billie Eilish on the bill for this year’s festival.

Ross said: “I’m so excited and grateful to finally know, that I’ll be seeing you at Glastonbury while on my UK Thank U Tour celebrating my new album of songs, Sunday, June 26, 2022.”

It comes after the Dianna Ross released her first music video in more than a decade last week when she released Thank You.

“After spending almost two years not performing and not being in front of the camera, they supported me in easing back into being around lots of people.

“These three people really took care of me: Evan Ross (producer), Amanda Demme (director), Ross Naess (photography), and so many others.

“I am filled with appreciation for the work that they all did to make this happen.”
