A NETWORK of businesses in Pocklington, which was formed when the town’s chamber of commerce closed, is growing thanks to social media.
Darren Wiseman, director of Eshopcreator and one of the founding members of the group, with local accountant Andy Bullard and Sally Steadman, of Business Link, said the group had attracted more than 200 on its LinkedIn group.
He said: “We are happy to embrace everyone and post news about lots of other local regional and national events in our blog, linked from the website.” The network meets every two months at the KP Golf Club in Kilnwick Percy, just outside Pocklington.
Darren said it was like a support group and competing firms were encouraged to collaborate.
