DAVID Winterburn has been appointed as the new regional vice chairman of the Institute of Directors (IoD) in Yorkshire and the Humber.

He suceeds outgoing vice-chairman Denis Kaye.

Managing director and founder of executive recruitment specialists Harrison Winterburn Associates, Mr Winterburn has been actively involved with the IoD in Yorkshire and at a national level for several years, chairing the West Yorkshire branch from 2004 until 2008 when he became a member of the national IoD Council.

In his role on the IoD Council, Mr Winterburn represents the county to share knowledge and best practice from the region and advises on strategic issues relating to IoD national policy.

He said: “I am looking forward to working alongside regional chairman Margaret Wood to represent the region’s business leaders and push for continued support and investment for Yorkshire.”
