AN elderly man has died after his Honda car left the road and collided with a hedge before landing in a shallow stream.
The pensioner was driving on an un-adopted road between Easingwold and Stillington when the accident happened at 11.45pm yesterday.
The road was closed for four and half hours after the incident and police are asking for witnesses who saw the vehicle before the crash to come forward.
