I WOULD like to sincerely thank all those people who supported the New Generation Singing Club in their recent event staged at the Guildhall in the presence of the civic party, which was held to raise money for the children of Niger. The members sang to a packed house and (if reports are to be believed) everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
A collection raised almost £300, and several additional cheques have been promised. Anyone wishing to support the club's efforts in raising money for the children of Niger should phone Liz Edge on 01904 790732. By popular request, a repeat of the show's programme will be held in Holgate in December. A big thank-you to one and all.
