THESE lucky pupils from Fishergate Primary School in York have a whole lot of new summer reading thanks to a donation from a local business.
Frankie & Benny’s restaurant and bar in Foss Islands Road has built up a strong relationship with the school and has previously invited pupils into the restaurant to take lessons.
Elizabeth Pittz, teaching assistant at Fishergate, said: “It’s fantastic for us because we have lovely new books. They donated £500 worth.
“They even let us go to the restaurant. I did a lesson about fractions in there using pizza. The kids love it.”
