I WISH to support North Yorkshire Police’s blitz on summer drink-drivers (The Press, June 2), having put my own life in danger in order to prevent a drink-driver from setting off with a young child on the back seat.
Please be sensible and don’t drink or take drugs and drive, ever.
The consequences of drink and drug-driving can live forever. Use the bus, train, walk or get a non-drinking driver to drive.
In recognition for my actions and charity work for the people and charities in York, I am honoured to have been nominated for the 2012 York Community Pride Person Of The Year award in The Press.
