I WAS interested in the article (Buses go high-tech, The Press, October 13), describing Yorkshire Coastliner's plans to provide "Real Time Information" on bus times, through the internet, text messaging or WAP-enabled mobile phones.

It is great to have positive reports of a bus company's activities for a change.

Innovation like this is essential if more people are to make the switch to public transport.

What are the chances of First following suit and providing this type of service for their York fleet?
