THIRSK and Sowerby Harriers’ annual 10 Road Race takes place on Sunday with the usual high-class field. Entries can be taken on the day. The main race, based at Thirsk Racecourse, begins at 11am and runners over the age of 16 and of all abilities are welcome.
There is also a fun run starting at 10am, off-road and in the region of two miles. Again, entries can be taken on the day. Full details can be found on the www.thirskandsowerbyharriers.co.uk club website.
Three Harriers were at Harewood for the AgeUK Wrap up and Run 10k charity run.
Alan Harman completed the course in 53 minutes and 55 seconds, with Ian Codling coming home in 65-31 and Marian Codling 74-13.
Junior runner Jack Spence was part of a team representing North Yorkshire Schools at Ilton in Somerset. He finished 171st out of 330 runners.
