YOUNG movie-makers are being sought to make up the cast and crew of a new feature film to be made during the school summer holidays.
The Co-operative British Youth Film Academy is embarking on an “epic” challenge to shoot a full-length feature film in the Yorkshire area over five weeks in the summer.
Three hundred students are being offered the chance to gain experience in areas including acting, camera and set design and hair and make-up.
The project is being supported through a £1.2 million partnership with The Co-operative.
The film project is open to 14 to 25-year-olds and free places are available for students of the academy’s 19 member colleges or universities.
Filming, which operates on a residential basis, will be based in Huddersfield, Bradford or Grimsby. Further details have yet to be confirmed.
