The York side beat hosts Hull 4-1 in their latest fixture to move to the brink of a return to the premier division after a four-year absence.
Youngster Tom Pepper got Wiggy off to a good start, beating Jon Shirley 15-6, 15-7, 15-2.
Manager Ian Tooms beat Hull junior Nathan Kaiser 15-10, 15-6, 15-12, but Ray Burke, the previous week’s match-winner, lost 9-15, 8-15, 15-10, 9-15 to Glyn Saunders.
Captain Jon Duffield secured the win by edging out Hull’s Rich Long 15-11, 11-15, 15-12, 15-12 and Wigginton’s Simon Myring then beat professional Andy Cockerill 15-10, 15-9, 15-8.
