City of York ladies I ceded a last-gasp goal to ailing Broom for a 4-4 North League division one draw.
Twice York powered into convincing 2-0 and 3-1 leads through well-taken strikes from Kirsty Rossington, Laura Horne and Ali Butler only for Broom to counter and level.
Another short corner from York saw Butler apply a fine finishing touch to Becki Raper’s slap.
But with mere seconds to spare a dramatic Broom raid yielded another leveller and a share of the spoils.
Needing to win their last three Yorkshire League division one games to gain promotion, City of York ladies II laboured to beat Doncaster 1-0.
The decisive strike came from Fiona Gemmell in the second half. Player of the match was Ruth Laybourn.
