FIVE Lions took no prisoners they roared to a 8-1 victory and were only prevented from a clean sweep by York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League division one opponents Slipper pairing Vicky Middleton and Ann Parkyn.

Anne Bass and Dawn Exton were double ton scorers for Lions.

The top two teams, Walnut Tree and Tramways, were tied 3-3 going into the pairs.

Di Moreland and Clair Cooper edged visitors Tree in front.

Jan Wilberham and Kerry Goodall levelled, then Trees’ Carol Perrett and Babs Harrison secured victory.

Tracey and Natalie Farmeary, Tina Platt and Denny Titchener gave Cueball ‘B’ a good start at Ox ‘A’, whose Denise Fowler and Danni Laycock (146) narrowed the gap before Tracey Farmeary and Titchener sealed victory.

Flag flew into a 4-0 advantage before Maureen Ferguson replied for Bootham Club.

However, Jane Flynn sealed match points for Flag, who added a pairs to their tally.

Joan Hunter, Faye Hawksby, Linda Welch and Sue Smith gave division two leaders Cueball ‘A’ a flier before Burton Club’s mother and daughter, Sandra Pallister and Linda Embleton, troubled the scorers.

However, Hunter and Welch joined forces to seal victory.

Division three front-runners Edinburgh had Julie Stables securing victory before the pairs at Leeman ‘A’, whose Debbie Witts stopped the rot.

Christina Waddington and Margaret Yeomans doubled their tally, while Amanda Bevan top-scored for the leaders.
