A MAN accused of attempted murder has appeared before York Crown Court.
Christopher Donaldson, 48, faced a charge of attempted murder of a 60-year-old woman in Brayton, when he appeared before Recorder Stephen Ashurst yesterday.
Police were called to a property in Brackenhill Close, Brayton, near Selby, at about 6.50am on Friday, March 9, where paramedics were attending to a woman with wounds to her abdomen.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said the woman remained in York Hospital.
Donaldson was remanded in custody and will undergo psychiatric testing before he appears before York Crown Court again on May 28.
