PLANS to add an extension to a York leisure centre have been approved.
The scheme will see the fitness suite at the Energise centre on Cornlands Road more than double in size after permission was granted by City of York Council.
The authority, which owns the facility, said extra floor space was needed to cope with increased demand for the suite, with the extension to be built between the centre and its all-weather pitch.
