IN response to the stadium consultant being paid £3,300 by the Labour council in York (Letters, March 12), as a Conservative I disagree with this and support Conservative group leader Coun Ian Gillies on this matter.
It is obscene that £145,000 of York taxpayers’ money has been spent by the council in York on legal and consultancy fees in 2010/11.
The council should hold a public inquiry into the proposed Monks Cross expansion and the Community Stadium development.
Terry Smith, Fourth Avenue, York.
