I WOULD like to thank City of York Council for the blisters on my feet and for being late for work once again.
I have never known such chaos going into York from Acomb; the bus stopped in Acomb and then crawled the rest of the way.
I decided to walk it, but as I was unprepared I had boots that hurt my feet.
And as I approached Blossom Street that is where the roadworks were – digging up the road right on time for everyone trying to get to work. I know that improvements have to happen, but why on earth do they have to do it at peak times? We have school holidays in a couple of weeks; why can it not be done then? And before anyone says it, I can’t set off earlier as I have children to sort out on a morning).
I just wish that whoever makes these decisions would think more about how it affects people and the best way that this can be avoided.
Jenny Danks, Marston Crescent, York.
