PIKE HILLS Golf Club duo Ian Wiseman and Steve Illing are flying high after striking sun-drenched treasure.
The one-two wonders were crowned British Airways pairs champions after a tense play-off at the Sandals Emerald Bay Links in the Bahamas.
They beat Graham Kerr (London GV) and Duncan Bland (Brocket Hall GC) in the play-off after Illing planted a superb approach shot to the heart of the green at the par-five 18th hole to effectively seal victory.
Illing and Wiseman, who had beaten more than 120 pairs from across the UK to make the final at the Greg Norman-designed course and exclusive resort, each won a Tag Heuer Aquaracer 500 watch for their endeavours.
Said a delighted Wiseman: “This was by far the best golf experience of my life.
“The Sandals team has been amazing providing us with a stunning golf course, and nothing short of first-class service throughout our stay.”
