THE A1 in North Yorkshire was closed for an hour after four vehicles collided on its northbound carriageway.
The multiple pile-up between the A59 junction near Allerton and the A6055 Boroughbridge junction involved a black Seat Ibiza, a silver Vauxhall Astra, a black BMW and a red DAF truck.
No-one was injured.
