TIMES change and consumer habits change. That is the nature of business.
The owner of video rental company Innerspace Stations should be congratulated in seeing a gap in the market in 1986 and trading successfully for a quarter of a century (The Press, February 20).
The challenge now is for this entrepreneurial spirit to be used in a business that the big boys do not have a hold on.
Large multiples are not going to go away and they will continue to chip away at independent trade.
One-man bands have to accept this fact, maybe evolve into other areas, but can use the high footfall that these great giants create to their own advantage.
