YORK Minster has always been a treat for the eyes – now it is a heavenly treat for the taste buds too.
Chocolatier Sophie Jewett has created a mini replica of the city’s famous landmark as York prepares to showcase its 100-year confectionery history.
York hopes to put the city on the map as Britain’s Home of Chocolate and a series of new attractions and events will begin this month to mark its confectionery past.
York is the birthplace for some of the world’s biggest confectionery dynasties including Terry’s and Rowntrees, which is currently celebrating its 150th anniversary.
