THE first phone call I had today was from a company wanting me to save money by switching my energy suppler. The last time I did this I saved £7 a year.
The second call I received was a gentleman who told me I was owed money from my bank because their credit card limit was increased without my permission; he seemed very knowledgeable about my affairs.
The third call was from a company with a wonderful investment opportunity just for me, but they lost interest when I said I was 82 and penniless.
After this when further calls arrived asking for me by name, my wife started putting the phone down. Someone is making money selling my phone number to all and sundry. What can anyone do? I cannot be the only one.
