POLICE are investigating an assault on an isolated cycle path in York early this morning.
Two male offenders were disturbed by members of the public who spotted the incident on the path, between Wigginton Road and Crichton Avenue, Clifton, at 3.30am.
Police say they are investigating an assault, but are unable to say whether it was a sexual or physical attack, and have not yet revealed whether the victim was a man or a woman.
