A MAN has been charged following a probe into a spate of thefts from allotments in East Yorkshire.
Humberside Police discovered a large amount of garden and allotment tools and equipment in Scarborough, and asked victims of thefts to see if they could identify any of the property.
A 48-year-old man from Scarborough has now been charged with more than 20 burglaries and thefts, which took place in Pocklington, Bridlington, Goole and Hedon.
He will appear before Bridlington Magistrates’ Court next month. Police said much of the property had now been returned to its owners
