City of York Hockey Club Under-16 A' girls opened their Yorkshire Youth League season with maximum points from their first session.
They hammered Brigg 5-0 with a dominant display in their first game and destroyed Leeds with an 8-0 win in their second.
With seven players from last seasons' U14 squad stepping up to this level, York's new-look side showed no nerves as they got into their stride early and found the net with ease.
Two goals from Heather Stafford to add to others from Jess Green, Sophie Hunter and Abi Bambridge brought about Brigg's downfall. Leeds provided little resistance as on-form Stafford scored five with further goals from Bambridge, Anna Ramli and Sophie Worsman.
