THE City of York Under-16 B' team travelled to Harrogate Hockey Club for their Yorkshire Youth League matches with the core of an U14 side.
They started off against Sheffield who were the strongest side in the tournament and lost 3-0.
Next up, they lost a tight match 1-0 to Kirklees despite playing much the better hockey with the midfield trio of Emma White, Emma Hessay and Ruth Tyrell linking well.
The last match was against Thirsk which they lost 1-0 to a poor goal.
Gabriela Fullick came the closest to scoring. This will set them up for their own league matches in two weeks.
