TRIALS have unearthed the next set of York schoolboys who will be flying the football flag for their city over the coming season.

The representative teams take on their hand-picked equivalents from across Yorkshire, the Midlands and the North-East from the Under-11 primary school age group right through to U15s.

Both the U14s and U15s kick off their campaigns away to Leeds next Saturday and both will be gunning for big wins.

The final squad for the U14s has been whittled down to 20 for the season with experienced campaigner Adam Thornton again taking the captain's armband.

The other 19 are: Will Pepper, James Edmond, Andy Lee, Nathan Kiernan, Dominic Conricode, Joe Stuart, George Bissett, Pete Tasker, Tom Richardson, Matty Dale, Jon Kilmartin, Steve Jarman, Josh Whaite, Adam Ward, Tom Young, Dominic McGregor, Ross Gemmill, Ryan McEvoy and Lawrence Murphy.

The U15s squad has been reduced to a tight-knit core of 16 as follows: C Barrat, A Griffiths, D Isles, R O'Reilly, R Allinson, A Scorefield, B Bulmer, N Thompson, R Qualter, G Riley, I Blackburn, A Ferguson, T Corner, M Brown, M Shepherd and L Fisher.
