WHEN Dr John Sentamu was installed as Archbishop of Y ork, I was sceptical. I thought his may have been a politicallycorrect appointment, and that he was not the right man for the job, even though I am not particularly religious.

Now, he has settled in, and following his speech last week (Keep the faith, The Press, September 14), I believe that he is definitely in the wrong job.

If Labour is to retain power it needs a trustworthy and credible leader/P rime Minister (not Gordon Brown or his cronies).

This is where John Sentamu comes in.

The Labour Party should pension off Hugh Bayley and replace him with John Sentamu at a byelection. He could then walk any leadership contest.

Prime Minister Sentamu has a ring to it.

Until then, keep up the good work. You are a credit to York, and to the office you hold.
