A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a collision with a car near York Minster.
The incident happened just after 9.20pm yesterday in Duncombe Place while crowds were gathered in the Dean's Park area for one of the Illuminating York festival events, with police and paramedics being called to the scene.
The pedestrian, who is in her 50s, was taken to York Hospital after suffering a head injury, which is not life-threatening, in the collision with a Skoda Fabia, which was being driven by a 20-year-old man.
