JUNIOR talent was to the fore in week four of the York Winter Golf League at Skelton Park.
Two youngsters carded two of the best three scores with new arrival, 16-year-old Thomas George, posting the top total. Playing off a handicap of 18 with just 14 strokes received, he tallied 38 points.
The second best score was by 13-year-old James Wright, whose 36 points beat his dad, club pro Andrew Wright, by a single point.
Peter Lambert claimed the nearest the pin prize this week, landing him a navvy’s breakfast.
The league is hotting up now with everyone battling to claim one of the top 12 places to qualify for the Ryder Cup-style team event.
