IN response to residents objecting to the Big Wheel (The Press, October 22), I understand concerns of those who live in Westgate Apartments about placing the wheel in the gardens of the Royal York Hotel.
But I hope a suitable location can be found in the city centre for the wheel because of the benefits it will bring to York for tourists and locals.
We all should embrace this project. As a suggestion, it could possibly be located on the teardrop site and at the back of the railway station.

• It takes a very particular kind of vanity to imagine that someone riding high on a Big Wheel in York would prefer to spend ten minutes trying to peer into a living room or kitchenette in a block of flats 40 metres away rather than use the time to enjoy the awe-inspiring majesty of York Minister rising above the historic city.
