PLANS for 87 new homes near Selby have been submitted to Selby District Council by housebuilder Persimmon Homes.
If successful, the homes would be built at the Staynor Hall housing scheme, where developers aim to build up to 1,200 new properties.
Thompson Spencer Architects, designers of the scheme, said the estate would provide a mix of dwellings, including homes for private sale and as affordable or social housing.
Andrew Bowes, Persimmon’s managing director, said: “We are finding that purchasers are looking for traditional two-storey family houses, and our next phase of development will provide a range of high-quality two-storey house types.
“Staynor Hall has received unprecedented interest, emphasising the need for new homes in the area. We are delighted at the prospect of bolstering our offering further, which in turn will benefit the local housing market, employment and the wider community.”
