WELCOME To Yorkshire’s nomination for a prestigious tourism award has been supported by City of York Council.
Coun Sonja Crisp, the council’s cabinet member for leisure, culture and social inclusion, said she was delighted to be offering her full support to the tourism group in this year’s World Travel Awards.
The tourism body has been nominated for World’s Leading Tourism Authority Website and The World’s Leading Tourist Board and is encouraging as many people as possible to vote for them.
Coun Crisp said: “Let’s make Yorkshire proud.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to promote everything we love about Yorkshire on a world-wide scale. As the capital of Yorkshire, I know York residents will be 100 per cent behind this nomination.”
To vote for Welcome To Yorkshire, go to yorkshire.com/vote before Thursday, November 10.
