A YORKSHIRE local government committee, Labour in Kirklees, is insisting on an all-woman shortlist to fight a council election.
To my mind it doesn’t matter who they get, they’ll still end up with no money.
The last five national Labour governments have left Britain “skint”. Obviously some voters must never consider this a fault.
It would probably have been a six-hit if Neil Kinnock had ever been in charge. Instead, he has concentrated on making himself £8 million with his wife, Glenys, for their stints on the European Union ‘government’.
Talking of personalities, remember David Blunkett’s days in his socialist republic of South Yorkshire, with the red flag flying on Sheffield town hall? He now lives on the Duke of Devonshire’s Chatsworth House estate in Derbyshire.
Think about it, voters.
