POLICE are appealing for information after an oboe was stolen from an East Yorkshire school.

The theft took place at Headlands School and Community Science College, Bridlington, after a pupil left the musical instrument in the corridor within the performing arts department.

She returned to collect it later that day and found it had been stolen.

The theft happened between 8.45am and 2.45pm on Friday, September 30, but was revealed by police only yesterday.
