FORMER world champion Neil Robertson warned his rivals he is in the form of his life heading into the UK Championship in York.

The 29-year-old Australian beat Judd Trump 4-1 in the final of Players Tour Championship event eight in Ireland and declared his form was better than when he won the World Championship in 2010.

It was the Australian’s second PTC title of the season and the left-hander is now looking forward to making a big impression at the UK Championship at the Barbican Centre from December 3 to 11.

“My form is looking good with the UK Championship coming up,” he said. “I’ve practised harder than ever this season and I am very solid. The player who won the world title is gone and I’m a much better player now.”

Robertson’s second PTC event win moved him top of the Order of Merit ahead of Ronnie O’Sullivan, and he said: “You won’t hear me saying many negative things about them because they are important in terms of promoting the game overseas.”

The next PTC tournament is the series ninth in Antwerp, Belgium, from November 10 to 13.
