WHO decided to close St Paul’s Cathedral on the grounds of health and safety?

Whose health and whose safety could possibly be affected because of the occupation by the very peaceful and law-abiding people demonstrating against capitalism? Apart from their presence, they do not seem to have broken any laws, caused any damage or hurt anybody.

I understand that between £25,000 and £60,000 per day is being lost as a result of this hare-brained situation. In the present financial situation, to turn away cash paid by people wanting to enter and admire one of the world’s greatest religious buildings can only be very ill considered.

I cannot understand the thinking behind this demonstration, but these people are entitled to their beliefs and as long as they continue to cause no trouble, nobody can doubt their sincerity or fault the way they are behaving.

To have missed the chance of attending a service at St Paul’s must be galling for people wishing to experience this and I do hope that very soon those responsible will come to their senses and again allow access to this wonderful place.
