IT WAS laughable to read Tony Kelly’s diatribe against tug-of-war (The Press, October 22). After all it is a hundred times more of a sport than “the sport of kings”, of which The Press is such an advocate.
It is a million times more sporting than that multi-discipline (boxing, wrestling and diving) activity that Tony makes his thirty pieces of silver from.
