AN appeal for witnesses has been issued by police following a robbery in an East Yorkshire town.

A 21-year-old man was approached from behind by an attacker who is alleged to have pushed him to the ground in Holyrood Avenue, Bridlington, between 9.20pm and 9.40pm last Wednesday.

While the victim was on the floor, his khaki Quicksilver rucksack, containing a black wallet, a small amount of cash, a silver Applemac laptop and some university documents, was stolen.

The man was not injured and police believe another person may have accompanied the robber. Anybody with information about the crime should phone Humberside Police on 0845 6060 222.
