A MAN has been charged with assaulting York street performer, Purpleman.
A 36-year-old from Pontefract will appear in court next month, charged with four offences: assault by beating, being concerned in the possession of a class B drug, possession of a class A drug, and possession of a class B drug.
Police had earlier arrested the man over the attack, which allegedly occurred in Stonegate on August 13.
